No word yet on fate of Pro Bowl
Earlier today NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the media that no determination has been made if and when the Pro Bowl will be played this season. Last year’s Pro Bowl, a 59-41 AFC victory, was widely panned as soft, boring, and ridiculous. Even Roger Goodell publicly stated how disappointed he was with it.
“I really didn’t think that was the kind of football that we want to be demonstrating for our fans,” Goodell said on the radio program Mike and Mike in the morning, on Super Bowl Sunday. ”And you heard it from the fans. The fans were actively booing in the stands. They didn’t like what they were seeing.”
If the game were suspended, the league would preserve the tradition of Pro Bowl balloting in order to recognize top players.
