Lee Evans signs with Jaguars
Free agent wide receiver Lee Evans has signed a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union.
Evans spent last year with the Baltimore Ravens where he recorded only four catches for 74 yards over nine regular season games.
Ravens fans are still stinging from Evans’ mishandling of a right-on-the-money pass from Joe Flacco near the end of regulation in the AFC Championship game. Had Evans been able to haul in the pass, it would have been a game-sealing touchdown that would have sent the Ravens to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2000 season.
Prior to his one-year stint in Baltimore, Lee Evans had spent seven consecutive seasons in Buffalo, where he racked up 377 receptions for 5,984 yards and 43 touchdowns. His best season was in 2006 when he caught 82 passes for 1,292 yards and 8 touchdowns.
