According to Cam Inman of the MercuryNews.com, San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke indicated that they reached out to Randy Moss last season.
“The response was, ‘Not interested. Done. Hanging the cleats up.’ So we just let it go. Obviously Randy didn’t come back (in 2011) and sat out the year,” said Baalke.
When Moss “retired” last season, I really think it was a way for him to recharge and allow himself to take a mental break. Then he likely realized he wanted to keep playing football once the season ended.
Now we’ll get to see if Moss can be as effective as he once was.
