Titans want to split the quarterback reps 50-50 between Locker and Hasselbeck
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak indicated that the plan is for them to split the reps at quarterback 50-50 between Jake Locker and Matt Hasselbeck during the offseason.
Right now Munchak said that he isn’t leaning in any direction on who he see’s being the starter, but his hope is to be able to name a starter by the third preseason game.
“Sure we would. We would like that for all positions. Going into that third game you would like to have an idea of what your plan is,” Munchak said. “I feel so good about both of them I am not necessarily leaning either way on it. I feel like either way it is going to be a good situation for the team.
“It is a tough situation to be in when you draft a quarterback in the first round and if you just don’t hand him the job when he walks in the door you are going to have some tough decisions to make. We realize that. It is a good problem to have, but it is a tough one to have too.”
