Former Ravens cheerleader and fitness author Molly Shattuck will spend 48 weekends in jail after being convicted in Delaware of rape in the sexual assault of a teenage boy.
Shattuck, 48, apologized and appeared to sob during her testimony in court in Delaware Friday before the victim’s parents, who said it has been an agonizing situation for their family.
“I take full responsibility for what I did…I was the adult,” Shattuck said.
Shattuck ended up performing oral sex on the 15 year-old boy last summer in Delaware. She now has to register as a sex offender and is not allowed to be around children under the age of 18 except for her own children.
“It’s not a walk in the park,” defense attorney Eugene Maurer told reporters outside the courthouse. He called the sentence fair.
Seems like she got off easy. If she was a guy she would have been nailed with 10-15 years in prison.
