Former Colts linebacker Josh McNary got some great news on Thursday when a judge found his not guilty of rape.
SI.com has the story.
McNary, 27, was charged with rape in January after an alleged Dec. 1 incident involving a woman he met at a downtown Indianapolis bar. He pleaded not guilty. Closing arguments ended Thursday and found him not guilty on all counts, including rape, criminal confinement, and battery.
McNary called the experience “traumatic” and “tragic” as he addressed reporters, saying he planned to continue his football career.
The woman alleged that she had tried to stop McNary’s sexual advances after they had kissed and that a physical altercation occurred prior to the sexual assault. She left McNary’s apartment with his cell phone, then contacting police.
