The Cleveland Browns have released a statement after quarterback Johnny Manziel was involved in another incident with his girlfriend this past weekend which once again led to the police being called
Statement from Browns EVP of Football Operations Sashi Brown on Johnny Manziel
— Cleveland Browns (@Browns) February 2, 2016
The statement reads:
“We’ve been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. Johnny’s continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization. His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time.”
The Browns have now made it clear that Manziel will be released as soon as the new league year begins in March.
Manziel needs to clean up his act or his NFL career could soon be over.
One thing is for sure and that’s at least one NFL team will likely sign Manziel in belief that they can help him become a good quarterback.
Right now it’s safe to say the Dallas Cowboys are the favorites to sign Manziel once he’s dumped.
