Terrelle Pryor’s agent believes that Dennis Allen wants Pryor to fail

Raiders HC Dennis Allen announced today that QB Terrelle Pryor will get the starting nod over Matt McGloin for Oakland’s finale on Sunday against Denver. The announcement for the most part was good news for Raiders fans as they  haven’t seen a Matt McGloin win since the middle of November when he led the Raiders to a win over the Texans. Someone who isn’t thrilled about the news is Terrelle Pryor’s agent Jerome Stanley who is claiming that Dennis Allen is Pryor in hopes that he will fail.

“I think they’re putting him in hopes that he fails,” Stanley told CSN reporter Fallon Smith and myself. “That’s what I think coach is doing. I think they’re putting him in hopes that he has a bad game, so he can then justify the Matt McGloin situation. I think that’s what’s going on, I do and it’s ridiculous…

“You have to understand the coach is putting him in, he doesn’t want him to look good. And you can write that. He doesn’t want him to look good because, if he looks good this week, it makes the past five weeks look like a bad decision. (Allen) doesn’t want him to look good, he wants him to look bad. That is what is going on.”-CSNBayArea.com

I can’t really see where Pryor’s agent is coming from. A head coach with a job on the line is certainly not going to want any of his players to fail…
