Zach Sudfield could fill Aaron Hernandez’s role

According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald,  Patriots rookie tight end Zach Sudfield has become such a great red zone target for New England that he could end up being  a great replacement for Aaron Hernandez.

Sudfeld’s receiving ability should put him in a position to succeed in an Aaron Hernandez type of role, and Sudfeld has even improved enough as a blocker to earn more chances to stay on the field in one-tight end formations.

Sudfield caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown during Friday night’s preseason game.  He was also able to haul in a reception for a two-point conversion.
