With Rob Gronkowski not expected to be ready for week one, it looks like rookie Zach Sudfeld is a “lock” to be the Patriots’ starting tight end, according to the Boston Globe.
he Patriots have been without Gronkowski since the start of training camp, and have been preparing for this exact situation. In case you haven’t heard, tight end Zach Sudfeld has emerged in practices and in games, and looks like a lock to be the top tight end when the Patriots take the field against the Bills.
It would only make sense for Sudfeld to start with Gronk out. He’s the tight end that’s stood out the most so far.
