According to former NFL player and current NFL Network analyst Warren Sapp, the whistleblower in the bountygate scandal is former New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey.
This would not surprise me at all. To me, Shockey seems like the type of guy that would snitch. When he was released by the Saints last season offseason, he clearly wasn’t happy and likely spoke up about the bounty programs out of anger and frustration.

Warren Sapp retweeted some other person’s guess as to who the whistle-blower was…
People like you making news stories over things like this are practically ruining blogging and the reliability of the internet in general. I hope you’re proud.
Wait……the internet and blogging are reliable?
Can someone explain to me how a bounty changed the competitive nature of the game when players are paid to hit another player? How is recording the offensive and defensive signals of opposing teams not impacting the competitive balance of the game? New England only got a slap on the wrist compared to this and the evidence was destroyed by Goodell!!!
Are you just ignoring the fact that the Saints we’re paid to “take players out of the game”. Focusing on who tattled as opposed to how wrong what they did was is asinine. Your coach knew about it, he lied about it, and he tried to cover it up… thats why he wont be working next year. thats why you lost 2 draft picks. that’s why your team got fined 500,000…. not because warren sapp (dirty player) says shockey snitched
Even the National Enquirer wouldn’t print this without some more substantiation. What a poor excuse for journalism.
Can someone tell me exactly how many players the Saints took out of games? I have been watching NFL for over 40 years and I really don’t recall ever seeing any more injuries caused by the Saints players than any players from other teams.
