According to Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer-Press, Minnesota Vikings have taken running back Adrian Peterson off the PUP list, but he hasn’t been cleared to take a hit or play in a game.

“The Vikings have lifted running back Adrian Peterson from the physically unable to perform list, but he’s still not cleared to play in a live game — or take a hit in practice.

“Peterson participated in the Sunday, Aug. 12, walkthrough, taking handoffs with the first team during the installation period. Per the new collective-bargaining agreement, Peterson can’t wear pads until Tuesday and will be limited to individual drills and walkthroughs for the next two days,” reported Fowler.
