Vikings may have Toby Gerhart carry the load early on
With Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson not even six months into his rehab after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL, back up Toby Gerhart may end up getting the bulk of the carries to start the season, according to Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN Radio.
Gerhart has put on some weight this offseason, which may help him be the Vikings’ lead back for the first few weeks while Peterson gets his carries as a back up.
