Free agent linebacker Victor Butler met with the New Orleans Saints and ended up leaving without a contract. He’s now headed to Cleveland to meet with the Browns, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.
The Browns will host former Cowboys free agent outside linebacker Victor Butler, beginning on Sunday, a source confirmed for the Plain Dealer today.
Butler (6-2, 231), was a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys out of Oregon State in 2009. He was mostly a reserve outside ‘backer in Dallas under former Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.
Butler recorded 25 tackles, and 3 forced fumbles in 2012 as a back up. A lot of people feel like he can be a difference maker as a starter.
