Vic Fangio says Carlos Rogers won’t play unless he can practice

Cornerback Carlos Rogers (hamstring) still isn’t practicing and 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said he won’t play this week against the Panthers unless he’s able to.

Rogers says he’s making progress.

“I’m making steady progress,” Rogers said via Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times. “We’ll see.”

Fangio says Rogers is doing better.

“He’s still hurt a little bit but he’s much better than he was last week,” Fangio said.
