Tyler Polumbus: RG3 hasn’t changed

Redskins offensive lineman Tyler Polumbus has been impressed with Robert Griffin III since Griffin was drafted last year.

“He had every right to come in and act like one of those draft picks who thinks he’s a big deal,” Polumbus said via Bleacher Report. “But he didn’t. He was a pretty relaxed guy. Trust me, I’ve seen rookies come in and act the opposite. He didn’t. He was professional beyond his years.

“I’ll never forget how he came up to me one day and said, ‘I’m not going try and tell veterans what to do just because I’m the quarterback. I’m a rookie. I don’t know anything. You’re the vet. I’m going to listen to you.’ I had never heard a rookie talk like that before.”

Polumbus says Griffin III hasn’t changed at all.

“I don’t think he’s changed since the first time I met him,” Polumbus said. “He has always been one of the hardest-working guys in the weight room and classroom. That’s still the same. Nothing has changed.”

It troubles me for a coach to say he went for the win since the team wasn’t going anywhere. I guess this week mike can just call the game in and go to a movie if it doesn’t mean anything. No wonder the team is losing who would want to follow that way of thinking. If we would have won in overtime, hey you must win the first game to build on something for next year. All the hard work the players done this season, and to say it really doesn’t mean anything, both teams are losers. WOW!!! I think I will stay with baseball until we get a team with a coach that wants to win and not look bad for not playing Kirk. Always trying to keep face and cover-up the poor job Kyle is doing. RGIII is don’t let your words, make you something you are not. Football is a team game and no franchise quarterback can play without the other 10 players no matter how great you think you are.
