In an effort to get more practice reps, Tony Romo switched practice jerseys with back up Caleb Hanie.
“He got in the huddle and broke the huddle,” coach Jason Garrett said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “It was pretty obvious the jersey was a little snug on him. That’s when I looked at it and said, ‘Get him out of the huddle.’ He’s a competitive guy, he wants to play, he wants to be out there.”
You saw that, huh? We were just going out there and getting some throws in today. It was a good day. Anytime you’re getting healthier and getting ready to go, you want to ramp it up. We’ll have plenty of time for that here soon.”
Romo says his rehab is almost over.
“We’re right at the end [of rehab],” Romo said. “I feel good, I feel real close. I’m excited here whenever I’ll be able to get out and practice 100 percent.”
