We already know Tony Romo won’t play in the Cowboys preseason opener this week.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Romo isn’t expected to step back onto the practice field until this Saturday.
Romo went through his second consecutive practice Monday. He hasn’t practiced more than two consecutive days since camp began. The plan is for him to take the next four days off — the entire team is off Friday — and return to the practice field on Saturday. He’s scheduled to make the train trip to San Diego even though he won’t play.
