New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is the number one rated NFL head coach, according to SportingNews.com, who rated all 32 head coaches in the league.
Sporting News said that the most impressive thing about Coughlin is his ability to get his teams to play well when it counts, and I can’t argue with that point.
In 2007 and 2011, the Giants had an up and down season, but as the regular season ended they turned it on and rolled through the playoffs upsetting every team in their path.
Below are the top 10 coaches on the list.
- Tom Coughlin – New York Giants
- Bill Belichick – New England Patriots
- Mike McCarthy – Green Bay Packers
- Mike Tomlin – Pittsburgh Steelers
- John Harbaugh – Baltimore Ravens
- Jim Harbaugh – San Francisco 49ers
- John Fox – Denver Broncos
- Andy Reid – Philadelphia Eagles
- Lovie Smith – Chicago Bears
- Jeff Fisher – St. Louis Rams
