Tom Coughlin doesn’t believe the Giants have to win this week

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul says they’re in a must-win situation as they get ready to face the undefeated Chiefs this weekend.

“I can sit here and kid around, (say) it’s a must-win situation, but that’s been thrown around for a while now,” said Pierre-Paul, via the New York Daily News. “We need to win this game. And I’m pretty sure we’ll come out on top.

“I feel like our team’s going to come together and play in harmony,” he added. “We have great chemistry here, but we haven’t been playing with great chemistry or harmony. “I am pretty sure we will come out with the win this weekend.”

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin doesn’t agree with JPP.

“I think it’s a long season,”  said. “We’ve played three games. We have a lot of games to go. Certainly, we want to win, and that’s our entire objective. Are we standing on the edge of the cliff? I don’t look at it that way. I see a lot of football to play.”

Coughlin makes a point.  And let’s be honest the winner of the NFC East could end up with a 9-7 record.  But let’s face it,  the Giants have to win this week.
