New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady indicated back in 2006 that he wanted to play another ten years in the NFL. Now it seems like he isn’t ready to say good-bye to the NFL in another four years. The Patriots may end up having to force him to retire.
“My wife [Gisele Bundchen] said to me, ‘When I met you [in 2006], you said you wanted to play 10 more years. How come that number never goes down?’ It’s that I love the game. I love the game. I’m going to play until they tell me they don’t want me anymore,” Brady told SI.com’s Peter King.
A future Hall of Famer like Brady should have the luxury to retire whenever he’s ready, as long as he doesn’t pull a Brett Favre and keep everyone on the edge of their seats during the offseason.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
