Titans’ GM says Kenny Britt “is on the spot to produce this year”

Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster has made it clear that 2013 will be a make or break year for wide receiver Kenny Britt who’s in the final year of his contract.

“We expect all our guys to take care of themselves off the field and do the right things in those situations, plus on the field get themselves ready to play,” Webster said. “Kenny had a tough year just bouncing back from injuries but I think he is on the spot to produce this year.

“Plus, I think with our record, us being 6-10, everybody is kind of on the spot, so he would be in with the crowd on that one. But we do expect our guys to handle ourselves quite well off the field and stay out of those situations.”

With injuries and off the field issues, I’d be very surprised if the Titans sign Britt to an extension.
