On Tuesday, we questioned whether or not Texans linebacker Mario Williams is done in Houston, since he’ll be a free agent this offseason.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Texans want Williams back in Houston for next season.
I would think that if the Texans aren’t able to work out a long-term deal with Williams and his agent, they’ll likely place the franchise tag on him, so they can take their time in hashing out a new contract.
Williams is a dynamic talent that the Texans need to figure out how to keep around for a long time.
