The Houston Texans have extended the contracts of both general manager Rick Smith and head coach Gary Kubiak after a very impressive 2011 season. Both contracts were set to expire at the end of this season.
Kubiak’s new deal will expire at the end of the 2014 season and Smith’s will run through the 2016 season.
“Stability is very important to me,” said Texans owner Bob McNair. “They work very well together. They’re committed to bringing a championship to Houston. That is our goal.”
