Cornerback Terence Newman indicated on Twitter that he pulled his groin and will be back in time for the Cowboys season opening game against the New York Jets.
“A little groin pull and be back for the jets!,” Newman tweeted. “The man upstairs has my back and I have his. Thanks for the encouragement. Have a good night.”
The injury bug has never seemed to fail the 32 year old Newman who seems like he’s been hurt more then he’s been healthy the past few seasons.
This current injury will set Newman back with his reps within new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan’s defense. Once the regular season rolls around, it will be interesting to see how comfortable he is on the field.
