Running back Steven Jackson signed with the Atlanta Falcons this off season after spending nine years with the St. Louis Rams. After being a focal point of a offense for so many years, Jackson says he is ready to get less carries than he’s used to, seeing that the Falcons feature 2 great receivers in Roddy White and Julio Jones. Jackson, however, knows the carries will be high quality ones.
Per ProFootballTalk.com, Jackson says he is ready to close out games with these quality carries.
This offense has so many weapons that I’m going to get quality carries,” Jackson said. “I’m going to have opportunities — they may not be 25 carries a game, but they’re going to be quality carries that allow me to close out a game.
Jackson is a dual threat at running back also being a capable pass catcher. Jackson will provide an immediate upgrade over last years starter, Michael Turner.
