Steve Smith, Jon Beason head back to practice

According to Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer, both wide receiver Steve Smith (foot) and linebacker Jon Beason (hamstring) were back at practice on Sunday.
“Wide receiver Steve Smith and linebacker Jon Beason returned to the practice field on Sunday afternoon while running back Jonathan Stewart sat out,” wrote Jones.
Stewart is still nursing a sprained ankle that he suffered a couple of weeks ago against the Jets.
The Panthers believe both Smith and Beason should be good to go for week one.
