With Mario Manningham likely on the way out of New York via free agency, the Giants may decide to bring back a familiar face in order to fill his shoes.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former Giants receiver Steve Smith will once again be a free agent, after only signing a one-year deal with the Eagles this season. There’s a chance that he might be willing to re-sign with his old team.
Bringing Smith back would be a smart move for the Giants, since they wouldn’t have to break the bank to sign him. After heading to Philly this season, he was a non-factor and ended up on season ending injured reserve because of problems with the same knee he injured in 2010.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
