Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones made it clear that they want wide receiver Dez Bryant to be a”Cowboy for life” after signing left tackle Tyron Smith to a new eight-year contract extension.
“We’re totally committed to make Dez a Cowboy for life,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “Our plans from Day 1 … figure a way to get Dez and Tryon extended.”
Even though Bryant congratulated Smith on Twitter, it was reported that he was very upset that he still hasn’t gotten his new deal while Smith has.
There’s some belief that the Cowboys will have Bryant play out this season before getting an extension done since both sides aren’t close at all to getting anything done.
