New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan had rookie wide receiver Stephen Hill working with the starting offense and rookie defensive end Quinton Coples working with the starting defense at practice on Thursday.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that both Hill and Coples ran with the starters on Thursday. The Jets need a number two receiver and it’s Hill’s job to lose at this point. Also after last season’s horrific display of a pass rush, they need Coples to come in and show them why he shouldn’t start.
At the end of the day, both Hill and Coples will be expected to come in and contribute right away.
