Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Sean Spence left tonight’s preseason finale with a nasty looking leg injury.
“For the second consecutive preseason game, the Steelers have lost one of their draft picks to an ugly leg injury.
“In tonight’s preseason finale, linebacker Sean Spence, the Steelers’ third-round pick in this year’s NFL draft, was carted off the field after he suffered what appeared to be a serious left leg injury. Spence’s leg awkwardly underneath him when he was blocked from the side while chasing Panthers backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen,” wrote ProFootballTalk.com
This is the second week in a row that the Steelers have lost a rookie to a bad injury. We’ll hold out hope that Spence’s season isn’t over.
