It looks like News Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton will be a little busy while serving his year-long NFL suspension.

The good news is that Payton will be able to keep his coaching skills sharp by serving as an interim coach in the Dallas area.  He plans on helping out as a coach on his son Connor’s sixth-grade football team, the Liberty Christian Warriors.

“I don’t want to do anything that interrupts what I do as a coach,” said Payton, per the New Orleans Times-Picayune.“I’m an assistant coach working with the offense.”

Payton also expressed how happy he is now that Drew Brees has a new five-year contract.

“I think I said this before, it wasn’t a question of ‘if,’ it was a question of ‘when,'” Payton said. “I’m excited. I’m excited and happy for him as well as the Saints. I think it’s a good deal for both parties. I know a lot of work’s gone into it, with (General Manager Mickey Loomis) and (Brees’ agent) Tom Condon.

“I kind of look at things in a glass-half-full way. It just came down to the last couple days, and I felt confident all along that both parties would be able to work something out, and I’m happy they did.”

I am sure the staff and administration is thrilled to have this cheating man influencing their students. I have seen him running around Southlake Town Square with his 20 something year old girlfriend! Sure his daughter is thrilled with her soon to be stepmom. What a man of high Christian standards!! Hopefully he did not coach the football players the way he coaches the Saints. The man is morally corrupt.
