According to The Seattle Times, Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond has been very impressive so far this spring now that he’s healthy again.
Another breakout player of the OTAs has been cornerback Walter Thurmond, healthy for the first time in roughly two years. “Walter is physically capable of showing off, really,” Carroll said. “He is a tremendous athlete. He has been in a situation where he’s kind of had to hold back a little bit for a long time and he’s really able to go for it now. He’s got extraordinary quickness. He’s a playmaker and he’s fighting to play a bunch, not just to be around here, so it’s kind of been a guy we have had in mind that we don’t know if he’s going to make it or not because he’s been so banged up. But now he is right, he is over that hump, and he has really prepared himself to have a great camp.’’
The Seahawks already have arguably the best secondary in the NFL. If Thurmond can return to his previous form, watch out.
