Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell made it clear to the Seattle Times that they’re still a run-first offense in 2013.
“We are a run football team, that sets up everything that we want to do offensively. It’s our philosophy, it’s our toughness, it’s all the things that we preach here. So whether Marshawn gets 315 carries or not we are going to be running the football with Marshawn back there, with Christine Michael, with Spencer Ware, if we’ve got to go to Mike Rob (Michael Robinson), got to go to D.C. (Derrick Coleman), we’ve got a good stable back there that we like right now.’’
It would make sense for the Seahawks decrease Lynch’s carries this season. He’s bound to break down and they need to give their younger guys more opportunities.
