Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor told SiriusXM NFL Radio that they had a players only meeting to discuss all of the failed performance enhancing drugs tests from last year and now this year.
“The vets, we put a meeting together to talk to the guys about not making the same mistakes over and over,” Chancellor said, per MyNorthwest.com. “We have to grow up and move past that. That’s pretty much the message right now, growing up and not making the same mistakes over and over.”
Chancello admits that Bruce Irvin to a suspension was big for the Seahawks.
“Losing Bruce, he’s a key part of our defense,” Chancellor said. “But you know, our team is so stacked in our depth, and everybody’s so good that whoever steps up in that role, they will do an amazing job as well, so we shouldn’t miss a beat.”
Chancellor also told SiriusXM Radio that the Seahawks front office met with the players to discuss the issue as well, per Ian Raopoport of the NFL Network.
