The Seattle Seahawks brought in linebacker Barrett Ruud this offseason to replace David Hawthorne who departed in free agency. But according to head coach Pete Carroll he’s still recovering from knee, shoulder and groin injuries.
“We’ve got him healthy first,” said Carroll. “He’s not healthy yet.”
Ruud played in only nine games for the Titans in 2011, before being placed on season ending injured reserve. Before then he never really missed any games in his career, since he never suffered any serious injuries.
“He is working out,” Carroll said. “He’s doing a lot of stuff, but we’re going to be very careful with him, bringing him back. He’s never been hurt before.”
