We just mentioned in a previous post that the New Orleans Saints and quarterback Drew Brees are about $5 million apart from getting a new deal completed.
According to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis believes Brees is a “very good” quarerback and not a “great” one. This explains why the $5 million gap exists and is currently holding everything up.
I don’t understand how a general manager like Loomis doesn’t understand that a quarterback who’s a Super Bowl MVP and just recently broke Dan Marino’s single season yardage mark isn’t great.
Saints owner Tom Benson better knock some sense into his general manager before he really messes things up.

Are you kidding me? Drew Brees is only very good not great? WTF…Micky Loomis. You need to have your head examined. If owner Tom Benson has any common sense at all he’ll take the 5 million from Loomis and give it to Drew. Loomis get your head screwd on straight, open your eyes and thank the heavens above you have him as the quarterback of this team. Drew is one of the main reasons the team has performed as well as does. This is a good team with a great…wait elite quarterback and equally great coaches and the worlds best fans! Will someone please tell Micky Loomis to get his act together before he completely FUBAR’s this thing. Geez Loomis wake up! I cannot believe you would even say crap like that. Who Da Man? Drew da man.!
I believe the above is just a poor website trolling for attention. I believe it is the writer’s opinon that if Loomis doesn’t pay the extra 5 mil then he doesn’t think Brees isn’t “great”. Nice try Paul Jackiewicz, but I think Loomis is a bit smarter than that, AND YOU. Troll more loser.
NO BRESS NO TEAM NO FANS NO LOOSERMIS NO MONEY FOR THE BIG EASY. LETS GET HIM SIGNED OR THIS WILL BE BIGGER THAN PAY FOR PAIN.
