Free agent defensive lineman Ryan Pickett plans on playing this season even though no one has signed the 34 year-old veteran.
“I can still play ball. Just turn on the tape,” Pickett said by phone, per the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “I can do my job. And I do it well. I like to prove people wrong. I feel great. I don’t feel old.”
A free agent, Pickett hopes to get a call from a team soon. He absolutely plans on playing this season, and his No. 1 choice is the Green Bay Packers. He’s also a realist, fully aware that the Packers have infused their defensive line with youth and versatility. Either way, Pickett vows there’s a “100%” chance he plays somewhere in 2014.
Pickett wants another Super Bowl ring.
“Another Super Bowl, man. I really want to win,” he said. “I can still play. I feel great….I just have more left. I’m a competitor and I love football.”
