According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, he’s been hearing that Chargers running back Ryan Mathews’ fractured clavicle “is not that bad.”
I’m not sure how a broken bone isn’t bad. I guess it could be a clean break, which is a good things. But at the end of the day, it’s not good sign when a running back like Mathews suffers a broken clavicle after the first hit of the game.
The Chargers have stated that they don’t plan on signing any free agent running backs with Mathews out. Ronnie Brown will take over as the starter for now.
