According to Casandra Andrews of al.com, Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McLain asked his agent to look into stem cell research after dealing with pain in his knee over the past couple of seasons.
“I’ve been having two seasons of nagging pain in my knee,” said McClain.
It didn’t take long before McClain headed down to Gulf Shores where radiologist Jason R. Williams performed liposuction on him. He injected stem cells from McClain’s own fat cells into his knee and the area in which he had suffered a high ankle sprain.
“It feels a lot better,” McClain said in an interview last week, adding that he’s working out four days a week with the Raiders, running, lifting weights, doing squats and even sprinting “with hardly any pain at all.”Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
