Robert Kraft was also confused when Bill Belichick decided to not take the ball in overtime

Patriots owner Robert Kraft admitted that like most people he was confused when Bill Belichick decided to kick the ball to the Broncos in overtime this past Sunday night.

‘‘When Bill chose the wind, I said, ‘What is he doing?’’ Kraft said last night prior to handing out turkeys during his annual Thanksgiving giveaway at Goodwill headquarters in West Roxbury. ‘‘Someone (in my box) said, ‘Don’t you have a phone down there?’ . . . But I spoke with (Belichick) and chatted about it with him afterward, and once again, he was on top of things. What they figured out was, by choosing the wind, it was an incremental 20 yards that they needed to be able to kick, and sure enough, it was a very wise decision.

‘‘Probably, as a fan, I don’t think 80-90 percent of our fans would think giving Peyton Manning the ball in overtime was going to be in our best interest.’’

Let’s be honest,  Belichick dodged a bullet.

If the Broncos had scored a touchdown to start overtime,  everyone would be bashing him.

Let’s also give him credit, the Patriots did win the game.

Kraft ole boy that is why you are a remarkable owner! You let Belichek run the game and team, and you asked him after the game was won. Jerry Jones would have been up his HCs buttocks during the game.
