Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III participated in the portion of practice that the media is allowed to see, per Chris Russell of ESPN 980 in Washington D.C.
In the very limited portion of practice that media is allowed to see, Griffin did full stretching exercises including running in a straight line, a sideways shuttle (lateral) drill that would essentially be the equivalent of what offensive lineman do. Griffin went right up to head athletic trainer, Larry Hess and gave him an emphatic high-five.
Griffin also made a loose, fun gesture to the media two different times. He was wearing black sweat pants, so it hard to tell if he was wearing a brace.
Griffin III lightly threw some passes in simulated offensive drills, but appeared to gingerly plant on his back foot (right leg). Other members of the media, said he was walking with a limp. That was not as noticeable to my eyes.
There was no way head coach Mike Shanahan and the Redskins were not going to have Griffin suit up and make it look like he’ll be fine. It’s all a show. I still highly doubt he’ll play.
