Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III told reporter today that he won’t change who he is after last week’s controversy that involved him and head coach Mike Shanahan.
‘“I’ll continue to be who I am,” said Griffin via Rich Tandler of CSNWashington.com.
“I sat down and talked to a few people ‘Do I stop being who I am, stop being honest with you guys and not give you guys ammunition to turn against this team or do I just go into a shell and Bill Belichick it all week,” he said when asked why he decided to make the statement. “But I’ll continue to be who I am and if something like that does happen just go back and make a statement and make sure everybody is clear on it.”
“I don’t think I can change who I am just because people are going to take my words and put them against me.”
We’re glad Griffin doesn’t plan on changing who he is. He knows who he is and shouldn’t worry about what others think.
