It is pretty obvious that the Seattle Seahawks have a problem with performance-enhancing drugs considering 5 players have been suspended for them since 2011. All Pro cornerback Richard Sherman would of been the 6th if he hadn’t of found a loophole which forced his appeal to be approved. Even though he narrowly avoided the suspension, Sherman does acknowledge that it appears that the Seahawks do have a problem.
Asked if the Seattle Seahawks have a problem with performance-enhancing drugs with five player suspensions since 2011, cornerback Richard Sherman told ESPN The Magazine, “it does seem that way.”
Sherman, who was suspended last season for allegedly using Adderall only to have the ban overturned on appeal last December, said of the Seahawks’ perceived PED problem: “It is what it is.”
Even with the appeal, Sherman will always carry the stigma of PEDs. It doesn’t help that head coach Pete Carroll was involved in a scandal previously at USC. If Carroll is to bail out again, at least Seattle is pretty close to the Canadian border.
