Robert Griffin III practiced for the second consecutive day in 11-on-11 drills on Saturday, which will likely be as close to in-game action as he will get until the regular season.
And in good news for the Redskins and their fans, he played well and looked comfortable, completing 14-15 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown.
Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan thought that Saturday compared to Friday “was a better practice all around for everybody, but [RGIII] seemed crisper, and he seemed to do a better job.”
This is a great sign for the Redskins hopes this year as they hope to improve coming off a playoff season. But of course, Griffin’s ability to stay healthy throughout this season and the rest of his career is just as significant as his on-field talents, meaning he still has a lot left to prove.
Should RGIII be able to stay healthy, the Redskins look like a playoff team for years to come.
