After taking a number of hits during last week’s loss to the Vikings, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III admits he doesn’t think how they might affect his body.
“I don’t think about it,” he said via ESPN.com. “I think a lot of people do. It comes down to, you’ve got to take it week to week and not worry about the years down the road when it comes to those hits. You have the future in mind, but you’re still competitive on that day.”
Griffin knows he can’t those kind of hits.
“Bottom line, I can’t take those amount of hits,” Griffin said. “You don’t want to be hit that much. A lot of great quarterbacks don’t get hit that much. It’s not just me, it’s a lot of things that go into that. We just have to get better.”
Griffin has known since he injured his knee last year that he can’t a lot of hits. The problem is he’s not disciplined enough to keep himself out of harms way.
While RG3 made a lot of plays last week against Minnesota, hewas way too reckless for his own well-being.
