We mentioned yesterday that the New York Jets were so disappointed that they missed out on drafting former West Virginia linebacker Bruce Irvin that they called the Seattle Seahawks and cursed them out after they took him with the 15th overall pick.
The Jets didn’t want to take Irvin ”at No. 16, I can tell you that much,” said Ryan. ”He’s a guy we did a lot of stuff on. We liked Bruce Irvin as a player, but not ahead of the first two guys we took.”
So according to Ryan the Jets had both defensive end Quinton Coples and wide receiver Stephen Hill rated higher than Irvin. I would love to believe that, but this is coming from a guy that predicts a Super Bowl title every season.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
