Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman made an appearance on SiriusXM Radio on Wednesday per Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post.
There was one thing in particular that really confused me. It was when Grossman indicated that the Redskins were a good team this season, despite their record.
“It’s hard to say this, but we were a pretty damn good 5-11,” said Grossman. “You didn’t really want to play us.”
I hate to break it to Grossman, but there’s nothing good about only winning five games in an NFL season, no matter how well your team may have played at times.
I’m sure he’s saying this because they swept the Giants during the regular season, but it’s obvious that they played a much different team then the one playing in this year’s Super Bowl.
I will admit that the Redskins did show some positive signs going forward, but you can’t say winning five games is good and that no one wanted to play you. That’s a joke.
