Report: Texans won't re-sign Matt Schaub before the end of this season
According to Arthur Arkush of ProFootballWeekly.com, there is “zero chance” that the Houston Texans will sign quarterback Matt Schaub to a contract extension before the end of the 2012 season.
The Texans would love to see Schaub play the way he was playing last season and lead them deep into the playoffs and earn a hefty long-term deal, per Arkush’s source within the Texans’ organization.
I don’t see why Schaub won’t be able to come back strong in 2012 and lead the Texans to an AFC South title as well as a potential first-round bye in the playoffs.
