According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, both the Ravens and Steelers are interested in free agent linebacker Elvis Dumervil.
The Super Bowl champion Ravens, who hope to meet with Dumervil later this week after the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix, could face competition for the Pro Bowl defender from within their own division.
The Ravens’ biggest rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers, are also interested in Dumervil after cutting outside linebacker James Harrison as a salary-cap casualty prior to the free agent signing period, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
After losing Dannell Ellerbe, Paul Kruger and Ray Lewis this offseason, it be a huge victory for the Ravens to land Dumervil.
The Steelers are in a similar boat. They could use a player like Dumervil after releasing James Harrison.
